Welcome to Whiskertips. We begin by introducing the ladies who inspired the name for this blog.
Chloe was an eighteen-year-old tuxedo cat with a wicked sense of humor. A native of Houston, where she was sharing a cage with her friend Christabel when they were discovered, she lived most of her life in Central Texas. Her interests were sleeping, eating, and sticking to humans like Velcro.
Alice joined the family by scrambling out of a ligustrum mott near my house and climbing up my leg. Thank heavens for denim. I intended to find another home for her but made the mistake of naming her first. Initially, she crawled all over the older cats and just generally irritated the life out of them; when they discovered she could be batted around like a toy mouse, however, things settled down. She shared Chloe’s interest in sleeping and eating but didn’t require constant human companionship. Visitors found her hiding under the bed. She was technologically savvy and enjoyed sitting on the desk and watching the cursor move across the screen.
